The advantage was made even greater when the Bloodseeker stole Fnatic's neutral creeps from Black^, thereby putting him back even further in terms of farming potential.īeing one game up against Fnatic and with the huge lead gained, confidence started to become over-confidence as Seon-Yeob ' QO' Kim's Bloodseeker started to recklessly dive towers to get kills, resulting in unnecessary deaths. This proved to be a great counter against Leshrac as Bloodseeker dominated the mid lane and was became a force to be reckoned with. In response to that, MVP drafted an unconventional mid hero - the Bloodseeker. This time, it was Fnatic who picked up the Leshrac, and to further increase their chances of victory, captain Chai ' Mushi' Yee Fung drafted Dominik ' Black^' Reitmeier's signature hero - Anti-Mage. Although Phantom Lancer tried to split push, they just didn't have enough to stop MVP onward march and when they tried, they were just bulldozed and were forced to call gg.īlack^'s Signature Anti MageAfter some soul-searching, Fnatic decided to take it down a few notches and play what they're familiar with. ![]() The game went on as expected, with MVP easily finding gank after gank, pushing tower after tower. MVP capitalised on that overconfidence by picking up Ember Spirit, who naturally went for a Battle Fury that can easily destroy Phantom Lancer's illusions. Yet, Fnatic knowingly drafted the Phantom Lancer, who is known to be countered by both those heroes. MVP.Phoenix had picked up a Leshrac and Earthshaker in their first 3 picks. However, this overconfidence might have spilled into the first game of the Grand Finals. With iconic players in the team, confidence skyrocketed as they sought to redeem themselves after a disappointing performance at TI5. They have been dominating every round in ESL One so far, clinching 2-0 in every matchup. The nerve-wrecking and highly anticipated moment was when this star-studded team Fnatic met TI5 top 8 MVP.Phoenix in the Grand Finals.įnatic's new roster delivered excellent results with their newly-found synergy. They faced some of the best in the region and still established why they are regarded as one of the best teams in SEA at the moment.
